Ethical Advertising Policy

All advertisers must adhere to the following guidelines with every banner they provide to the ethical advertising network.

  • Graphical ads must be laid out in a reasonably conventional way.
  • Any implied affiliation must be backed up with documentary evidence e.g. Soil Association accreditation.
  • Images that are reasonably similar to a current and existing image being used by another advertiser are unacceptable.
  • Any 'offers' made in the ad must be substantiated in your website.
  • Ethical Ads does not allow competitive claims.
  • No sexual, adult or other offensive material content is permitted.
  • All spelling must be accurate unless intended deliberately as part of the campaign.
  • The destination URL must work and lead to a fully functioning website relevant to the ad.
  • An offer within an ad should be easily found upon clicking through to the destination URL.
  • Where possible your EJ member badge should be apparent to users when they have clicked through.
  • Requests for users personal information should be supported with a visible and fair privacy policy.
  • Sites taking personal information for anything must be secure.
  • All images, ads, offers and campaigns are subject to the terms and conditions of Ethical Junction CIC membership.
  • Ethical Junction CIC retains the right to refuse images.
